Rich is currently Co-founder of LODE, a venture studio manufacturing emerging technology startups and commercializing foundational and next-generation technology solutions in the areas of blockchain, AI, IoT, Data & Analytics, and innovative computing.

He is a business veteran with over 25 years of experience, including 12 years in international marketing, product management, and business development for Hewlett Packard.

As the managing partner of an international manufacturing consultancy, he advised Fortune 100 clients on strategic planning and operational efficiency for over 10 years.  Typically he decreased resource utilization 30% for custom manufacturers where high mix, low volume was their business model. Client companies included: British Aerospace, Honeywell Aerospace, Scientific Atlanta, Hewlett-Packard, United Defense, Celestica International, Bush Furniture and a host of smaller corporations. He saved one client $365MM a year or $1MM a day by following his planning algorithms and methods.

Over the course of his career, he has founded or joined 19 startups. He has spent the past decade serving as a mentor to aspiring entrepreneurs at multiple colleges and startup accelerators. His actions are guided by the adage “There is more happiness in giving than receiving”. It made a difference that he was mentored by successful people early in his career. Thus, he takes pleasure in paying it forward by helping the next generation working on Web3 solutions get a head start. Advice in the areas of business development, sales and marketing, go-to-market strategy, and product marketing are among his specialties.

In 2013, he obtained his first cryptocurrency and has been actively engaged in the blockchain community over the last 6 years. He produced the Wyoming Blockchain Stampede for 4 years, and Inevitable World Summit for 2 years. He currently advises Web3 companies and mentors at Techstars; most recently the Launchpool Web3 and ABN AMRO Accelerators.
